Doom (32X) (Genesis) (gamerip) (1994)

This is the most painful soundtrack I've ever heard. Not in a way where it just hurts your ears, it's just that it manages to awake some kind of upright repulsion inside me. All the instruments sound like bodily functions/pulses and poor FM synth, sprinkled with occasional bleeps n bloops and ear piercing sounds. It's not only an insult to Doom's original midi soundtrack on DOS but to the Genesis' soundchip itself. This was the same system that gave us awesome soundtracks in Sonic, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi. Even in the western market, games like Earthworm Jim, Vectorman, and Comix Zone on the same console managed to sound great, even if it wasn't necessarily the norm considering how many western games used GEMS pretty poorly, but this game manages to sound worse than most of those.
