I mean I am not really surprised by comments like these from you since you keep publicly showing your low IQ all over the platform. Either you are trolling constantly on purpose or you are really that dense. At least most don't even fall for that bait here.

But whatever, this soundtrack was never released by SEGA fully and this here seems to be some sort of remaster rip. Therefore no official SEGA release was uploaded.

how did you do this!?
I did this rip with the original GBA rom tracks which I exported through AGBPlay and then edited and mastered in Audacity.

And yes, you can see the "Re-Engineered" tag as some sort of tag that it is edited, declicked, mastered and such. I mostly came up with the tag myself to distinguish my releases easier from others and also show that they are meant to be more than just raw gamerips.

I have been learning audio engineering in the past years and try to give some soundtracks (mainly unreleased ones) a certain edge in terms of quality, mixing and tagging so that they might come as close as possible to a official release since it gives me experience working with audio material and also nice music releases to listen to since I am a soundtrack junkie, audiophile and collector. I just started sharing these releases with the public a year ago.

Gamerips are also allowed. The ban only counts for officially sold SEGA soundtracks both digital and on CD. Besides, I do not think Sonic Advance ever had a official soundtrack release aside of a very few tracks being on Sonic best of compilations.

Its not the original music, but a derivative work, so an arrangement/remix of sorts. I do agree that we are treading a fine line here regarding how much editing needs to happen for a work to be considered derivative, its a rather impossible question to answer.

Gamerips of Sega games are not allowed, even for games with no soundtrack released. Sega's argument for this - the community creates gamerips that are so good, it impedes their ability to make official releases. I can write a whole essay on why that is just horribly wrong, but, for the moment being, it is what it is.

Uhh my comment was towards SEGA, not at all the admin. I have massive respect for anyone who runs and helps improving this site, it's a great place.

If he really got messaged from Sega themselves to delete all Sonic soundtracks, then it would make sense because afterall, Sonic franchise is the property of Sega.

Yes, of course. My point was, why wouldn't they just say "didn't give you permission for this, remove it", instead of that drivel? Does SEGA really think that the people who actually care about GBA soundtracks wouldn't be willing to pay for a proper digital release / CD / vynil for a fair price? I get the reason with younger fans, but even then you could still monetize a lot of solid YT uploads lol, I guarantee you they wouldn't flop, and older fans/audiophiles would still go further for the lossless stuff.

I think that's why sites like this exist and have 90% of its users, because some companies don't truly understand the profit they are losing by not making their soundtracks more acessible.
