Kaze no Densetsu Xanadu II (PC-Engine CD) (TurboGrafx-16) (gamerip) (1996)

My Rating: 9.4/10
Personal Favorite:
Powdery Snow [30], Heart Warm [31]
Also Great:
First Attack [10], Weird Air [22], Magnificent Street [28], Calm Reception [38], Crystal Valley [39], Slash for Chap [49], Down to the Abyss [50], Happy-Go-Lucky [51], Supremacy Title [52]

This album is a nice two hour variation between energetic peppy tracks with quick beats and relaxing pretty slow songs. Both are quite strong, although I feel the slower songs are more noteworthy. Whereas Xanadu I had instrumentation that was a bit unrefined at points for the Turbografx, this one is higher quality throughout and shows some moments of exceptional greatness. For instance, Crystal Valley [39] balances an early mystical Zelda-like tune that it contrasts with some harsh metallic buzzes. Overall, my selection of favorite songs could easily include many more, but I've tried to limit myself to the best of the best.
