Machinarium Original Soundtrack & Bonus EP (2009)

This is one of the greatest soundtracks. Far from all the other nostalgic Indie games out there. We know the megaman series soundtracks and the ghosts and goblins all too well. This game takes a way different spin especially on the point and click genre. But unlike the other point and click adventure games e.g. Broken sword and escape from monkey Island that only has subtle orchestrated pieces and short melodies here and there machinarium takes a Big turn and focus out-right on both the art of the game and the music. I would go as far as to say, the music is just as important as the hand drawn art style of this game. Not only does the game have beautiful art-work it takes it a step further and blends the futuristic - robotic synths and fuses it into the art style. Like the two goes hand in hand. I can't see that this game would have been such a critically acclaimed title if this well written music wasn't included. Seeing that there's no word dialogue in this game, it is pretty important that the soundtrack packs a deadly punch which it does and more. Tomáš Dvo?ák truly proved that no matter how Indie a game is. Music can distinguish between a great game and a masterpiece.
