All Sounds of Burai (1989)

This album is largely identical to the PC-98 rendition of the music. I wrote a review there as well, with some variations with what tracks I enjoyed more this time. Overall, the music is frequently good and while the instruments can sound gorgeous, they can also just sound coarse and unrefined. They don't sound unpleasant or harsh but rather just feel like they need a bit of tweaking. Track 8 demonstrates this dialectic fairly well- the main instrument is just kind of blunt while the bubbling digital flourishes in the back sound beautiful. Whatever the case, the album is good, better than most, but there are some weaker points and a great deal of repeat tracks in the second half. 8.75/10.

Personal Favorites:
Tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 19, 24, 25, 29, 31
