Omni_VII: It'll be a while before they make a new model. When the new chips come out, they'll leave the price the same as they begin to start earning profit from the PS3. Then they'll drop the price and a few months later they'll introduce the slim model, but only after they start making substantial profit. I reckon the slim PS3 will take at least two years to come out.

Digital Gopher: The best part of that picture is that the reflection is white. I wouldn't put it past Sony to make the new design similar to the Wii, or even make it concave like the 360.
