Path-Finder: I thought they were both good. The battle system for LoD was in my opinion better than that of ffvii The world of Lod felt more thorough as well, there was a distinct culture and cultural difference between areas and it could be seen in the architecture and mindsets of the npcs while in ffvii it all felt as if everything was one region with one culture that just copied that of our own. in my opinion ffvii's reputation is a bit inaccurate to what the game was actually like.
