Ah, Gold and Silver. In my opinion, they had the best music out of all of the Pokémon games so far. Most of the new stuff is good, but G&S are the games to beat in the series. Okay, the gameplay was a bit weak, but the music was outstanding for a 2000 handheld game.

I love the Gold/Silver soundtrack more than any other among the Pokemon games. (Except maybe Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, since they've got basically the same music, only remixed.) I played the game when I was really young, and the music just kind of stuck to my head.

I love Gold/Silver they are to this day my favorite pokemon games. I played it when I was young and then stumbled upon crystal as I got older. The sad thing is my silver crashed, but I have Crystal that I still play to this day. But anyway they are the best pokemon games in my eyes.

I absolutely adore the soundtrack to Pokemon Gold/Silver out of all of the Pokemon games. These songs, in my opinion, are even better than the soundtracks of recent pokemon games. This reminds me of the days when I used to rush home from school just so i could play this game. Absolutely fantastic. 10/10 !

Wow. I remember those days before my cartridges conked out on me... I loved those games to pieces - they're much better than most of the new ones. My Silver team was the best, and the music is amazing. The battle music for Lance/Red still has the ability to make me feel all ready for a tough battle.

Pokemon G/S are in my opinion the BEST pokemon games made. They are very huge, first with the time and the pokemon in these games are the best out of them all (good ideas insted of like nosepass etc)
The music is excellent, I wish this site had the guide tune of Gold/silver, you know the du du du, du du du, du du du, du du du,du du du, du du du , de du du du de de du, bom ch um bom ch etc. when you follow someone.

Best pokemon games in existance.. What is this Platinum crud anywho? Yes, I've played all four generations of games.. Overall, this had the best music and the best overall feel. I loved GSC. Playing D/P these days makes me want to cry. It doesn't feel like pokemon to me anymore. Anywho, great game, wonderful, amazing soundtrack.

G/S/C are, in my opinion, the best games pokemon had. The others (Especially Diamond, Pearl and those DS ones) seem just... too much....

The musics are pretty and got me quite addicted (xD, true) and the game is pretty big itself, with lots of stuff to do. I could say more, but it`d probably end up one big arse post (Review, we you like to call it.)

To me and my brother this was one of our first video games and We played it when we were little. I absolutely love this game most of all pokemon games. I remember when I was in second grade and I couldn't wait to rush home to play it. Beutiful soundtrack. It triggers great memories in my head.

The King and Queen of Pokemon games, I love that lucky corner radio show theme! The music is original and Nintendo composer really knew how to mix that Bit-track, it's in stereo or mono only though, I hope HG and SS have proper remastered versions.

This album is great and has some of my favorite tunes of all time. But it doesn't have some of my all-time favorites that are hard to find on the Internet: the printer error theme (maybe it's on the RBY soundtrack - after all, it was introduced in Yellow - and the Lake of Rage evolution signal that Team Rocket sent out. On second thought, the evolution signal would probably hurt your ears if you listened to it on your iPod!

Btw in hg/ss you can get the old soundtrack. :DDDDDDD theres an item called... i think the gameboy something. but it changes all the music to the old music! :D so awesome! i use it all the time. the condos in one of the cities gives it to you, but you have to fill certain requirements first.

All of the pokemon games are good but i think Gold and Silver is the best ones not to mention the remakes Heartgold and Soulsilver!
As for the music i dont know which game has the best ones. Some of my favorites from the 2nd Generation is: Route 42/43/44/Lake of Rage, Ecrutak City, Celadon City and the legendary dogs battle theme.

Would someone please upload the mp3s from the remakes?

Gold and Silver remain my favorite games. The old music is by far the best, and for the first time you could go to both regions. The new games aren't close to this good...Always loved the music.
