oh god I remember playing this game as a kid

Y'know, I once beat a level without even moving any pieces at all. To this day I still question how the hell that happened.
(that probably sounds made up but I swear to God it wasn't)

(I don't really have any proof of it happening but like I'm not the kinda guy that tends to spread false information on the internet)

Some levels spawn certain Pokemon regardless of who you bring (usually pre-evos, like Haunters appearing on the Gengar stage). You probably brought a pokemon that spawns by default on the level, thus getting combos from the starting board.
